Age of Stupid - Greenwich tickets now available

When I last wrote about this film, The Age of Stupid, tickets weren't quite on sale, so if you tried you might have been frustrated. They're on sale now if you call 0871 22 44 007 and negotiate the Odeon's slightly long-winded automated box office.

There is a slight difference of opinion among TW members about this film - some think it too bleak and demotivating, others see it as a pretty effective call to action. The transition movement is about motivating people through positive examples and practical action. I say I'm going to see it and make up my mind about whether the Age of Stupid ticks those boxes. In any case this event - with the premiere in Leicester Square being beamed live to cinemas including the Greenwich Odeon - sounds like something worth seeing, with the premiere itself a solar-powered affair and the various celebs, including Pete Postlethwaite, arriving by low-carbon means onto a green (not red) carpet...

It's worth repeating, too, that if enough people see the film in its first week it will give the film a good chance of getting an extended run. If they don't, it might sink without trace.
